Mark Stroud has a doctorate in chemistry and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry with over 20 years experience in research and development in all areas of counter-terrorist technologies.

Mark moved from the UK Ministry of Defence to the UK Home Office in 2003. He is currently the Head of the Physical Security Sector of the Police Scientific Development Branch and is in charge of its Langhurst facility which is 40 miles south of London. He and his team are resonsible for the provision of advice across government and industry on the protection of people and key national infrastructure from attack as well as advice on all physical aspects of prison security.

Mark became a member of the Executive Committee in 2004.
